Marina Bay Sands hotel

We recently had the opportunity to stop by the Marina Bay Sands and were astounded by the SkyPark and swimming pool. Here is what we saw.

The Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore opened to the public in 2010, to the tune of $US5.7 billion.

That amount of money paid for the sizeable 2,561-room hotel, a museum, restaurants, casino, pubs, a swanky shopping mall, and the pièce de résistance: the SkyPark, an insane rooftop pleasure dome with a 150-meter (492 ft.) infinity pool.

The infinity pool is located on the 57th floor, and this pool offers breathtaking views of Singapore’s financial district, Marina Bay, and beyond. It’s the most magnificent and highest infinity pool on the planet, according to the resort, and if you float up to the pool’s edge, it seems as if you’re going to fall off the surface of the world.

The SkyPark is open to hotel guests, which offers some exclusivity. Rooms in the Marina Bay Sands begin at $399 per night for a double.
